In the recent update Firefox 53 has lost support of some web cams or there were some changes in WebRTC API (getUserMedia). We are investigating this now. We have noticed this on our tests. Firefox 52 was able to capture video properly from all testing devices, however in Firefox 53 some cams have stopped working. Though this bug (?) is reproduced on Windows 7 and Windows 8 with embedded cams only and not reproduced on Mac OS Sierra.

Screencasting (demo screen, screensharing) already works in Google Chrome. The technology allows capturing a window of the browser itself as well as windows of other applicaitons. For example, you can capture Firefox running in a separate window.

In this article we explain how to set up multi-user WebRTC video broadcasting from a browser via your own rebroadcasting server. We will broadcast from the Google Chrome browser and a usual USB web camera. To broadcast the video we create a Streamer HTML page, and for playback we make a Player HTML page.
