Flashphoner IMS 3GPP – is a Web Call Server product modification which includes IMS 3GPP capabilities. Flashphoner IMS 3GPP may be helpfull for large GSM/ providers who need to implement Web Calls via its IMS 3GPP equipment. Roughly IMS and 3GPP are set of specifications and Flashphoner IMS 3GPP product partially supports this specifications as IMS 3GPP client.

Full name of the platform is Flashphoner IMS 3GPP SIP WebRTC Flash RTMFP Gateway. This name is completely reflects the product targeting. Here WebRTC and Flash RTMFP represents web-browser side and IMS 3GPP and SIP represent VoIP side.

IMS – IP Multimedia Subsystem is an architectural framework for delivering IP multimedia services. It was originally designed by the wireless standards body 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), as a part of the vision for evolving mobile networks beyond GSM.

3GPP – 3rd Generation Partnership Project is a collaboration between groups of telecommunications associations, known as the Organizational Partners. The initial scope of 3GPP was to make a globally applicable third-generation (3G) mobile phone system specification.

WebRTC is a free, open project that enables web browsers with Real-Time Communications (RTC) capabilities via simple Javascript APIs. The WebRTC components have been optimized to best serve this purpose.

RTMFP – Secure Real-Time Media Flow Protocol is a protocol developed for encrypted, efficient multimedia delivery through both client-server and peer-to-peer models over the Internet. The protocol specification was published as Internet Drafts in 2012 and 2013.

  • Send and receive SMS via web-browser

    Users will be able to send and receive SMS messages via web-browser. All SMS will go through IMS billing system.

    In this case such communication path will be used: Browser – Flashphoner IMS 3GPP – IMS – GSM. In fact, user’s browser will be a part of a GSM network. It will have the same behavior as standard mobile phone and will be able to send SMS message to multiple recipients and receive SMS
    from any GSM user.

  • Audio and Video Calls from a web-browser via IMS

    Users will be able to call to GSM phones and receive incoming calls from GSM directly into their browsers. User’s browser begins work like a mobile GSM phone.

  • Call Transfer, Hold, Voice Mail, DTMF and other features

    Flashphoner IMS 3GPP is able to support all necessary features which supported by mobile phone.

Please do not to be confused with names. Flashphoner IMS 3GPP – is Web Call Server with IMS 3GPP features set. Once you get the demo version filling the form above, you should just follow detailed instructions for Web Call Server product, to install and test the software properly. Feel free to get support. We are updating Flashphoner IMS 3GPP docs, but some features may be not documented and it might be required to edit some configs to get this features working.
